What you should know about Cinca unglazed porcelain

These tiles are great to work with! They're very easy to cut with regular nippers. Each tile is a full square inch, with square-cut (not cushioned) edges, and at 1/8" (3.1 mm) thick, they are the same thickness as most vitreous glass materials. Their matte finish in muted earth tones makes them ideal for mosaic art in the European "Old World" style. They are also ideal for both indoor and outdoor projects. These tiles have solid colors throughout; there is no front or back side.

Our unglazed porcelain tiles are sheeted with a mesh backing. To remove the backing, soak the sheets in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes then peel off the mesh. Wash or brush to remove the glue residue then allow to dry.
